Is Yours one of them? Are you a victim?
In the last six months in Orlando, 357 companies have gone out of business and taken consumers pre-paid transfers with them.
That is a lot of companies. It makes you ask why, on so many levels. We want to attempt to answer this.
1. The
economy is of course a big factor....people are not traveling as much......that would be the obvious answer wouldn't it????
If that were the case, then why are Disney and Universal at
capacity??????????
2. Companies are
undercutting fair market pricing and charging ridiculously low rates just to obtain the jobs. They are successful in doing so, but cannot maintain thier vehicles, or thier companies, or thier standards and so they
GO OUT OF BUSINESS.
We are all consumers...................but keep in mind when you choose the companies with the lowest rates on the internet you are most likely taking chances on the following things:
1. Will that company
still be in business when I arrive?
2. What kind of maintained vehicle will I be riding in? Will it be mechanically sound, clean?
3. Will my driver be tired from working
18 hour days to make ends meet?
4. What year is our vehicle going to be? (a lot of them are very old)
5. Will our driver be able to
communicate with us? (many of the drivers barely speak English)
6. Will our driver know how to get us to our destination? Many are new drivers and
do not know the area because these companies pay so poorly, they can't keep any seasoned drivers)
7. Will my family and myself arrive safely?
8. More often than not, personal hygiene becomes an issue with a lot of these low pricing companies because they don't care who they hire.
So as we have said before,
"Never take the lowest rate and never take the highest rate, try to come out somewhere in the middle."
Listen to the person that answers the phone.....if they take time with you, answer you questions, are knowledgeable, instill confidence.....then you should consider them a winner in your choices.
If you can't understand them.....if they are short with you.....run as fast as you can.......
Sometimes in an effort to save a few dollars it ends up costing you so much more in the long run....a missed ship....
lost reservation money.....
no one at the airport to pick you up.....a very unpleasant transport.....
waiting hours at the port for a pickup or your hotel.....
THE NUMBER YOU HAVE DIALED IS NOT IN SERVICE........
